All who joined with us for our Leadership Learning and Action Event on June 2 from 12-2 PM Eastern Time benefited immensely from our exposure to the work, methods and mindsets shown in Anne Hastings' incredible work. Participants and faculty shared and learned effective approaches for increasing teamwork & resilience, and how to recognize and act on the Defining Moments in our lives and careers that present opportunities for leadership, learning, growth, action and results.
Anne Hastings, a Global leader in the campaign to end Ultra-Poverty, was our special guest faculty member. Anne spent 17 years in Haiti working with a local priest to create the basis for an economic democracy that would end extreme poverty in that country. She co-developed with local players a financially sound and enduring full service Bank to organize women, the backbone of the Haitian economy, and provide a pathway out of poverty for tens of thousands of women and their families.
